AIMs:
The aim of having a Youth Ministry at ICC would help nurture the spiritual growth of the young people, provide support in building the individual and collective capacities of young people through promoting their skills, self-worth, creativity , Christ centred lives.
Objectives:
To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today. To empower the youth to serve others and to work toward a world built on Christian values. To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person. By addressing their unique developmental, social, and religious needs and nurturing the qualities and assets necessary for positive development. Developing positive relationships with the youth and their patients or guardians. To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Displaying a Christ like approach and lifestyle and praying regularly for the youth in church and community. Incorporating youth into various departments / ministries as the interest a raises. Teach the youth and young people the Gospel and what it requires from them. Show Christs love through modelling. Equip the current youth to share their faith with their friends. Be an advocate for the youth and educate our congregation about their hopes, concern, aspirations and needs in the local church. Mentor the youth in developing their leadership skills. Recruit and train volunteers to serve in various aspects of youth ministry.
